The two polls reveal that by far most of the respondents are non-students over the age of 30 (71%). Only 18% of those who took our poll claimed to be students. A surprising 82% were non-students, with 30% of them over age 50.

Three-quarters of the respondents were located in the the United States or Canada. Not surprisingly, the next largest group was in Europe (18%), evenly split between Britain/Ireland and the Continent. Australia/New Zealand tied with Asia, numbering 3% each.

For the learning levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced) of our readers, see Poll 3.

Note: This poll was conducted in June 2000. It is not scientific and reflects only the input of those people who chose to take the poll. However, it is probably still a valid reflection of the actual categories of the people who visit our site.
