German Christmas Drink Recipes

Wednesday December 19, 2007
How about some hot mulled wine (Glühwein)? Or would you prefer Buttergrog? 'Tis the season for traditional hot drinks! Our dual-language German recipes serve a dual purpose. Not only can you prepare some delicious drink and pastry recipes of the season, but you can learn more German! Each recipe is in both German and English, making it easy to learn new vocabulary for ingredients and food preparation. You'll also learn more about the units of measurement used in German cooking. (Europeans measure by weight, Americans by volume.) To help you with all this, you'll find a special cooking and baking glossary, a units conversion page, and links to German cooking/recipe sites.
