Wasn’t clear if “with subtitles” referred to english or german subtitles. I like to watch with German subtitles.

(5) John says:

I watch them to see how well I can follow the conversation to see how my German is. Unfortunately I can’t follow them very well. Movies are the worst. I can follow the Tagesschau better, they speak clearer. Some movies, the actors mumble and I can’t follow anything.

I’ve recently seen: Das Boot, De Tweeling (Twin Sisters), Good bye Lenin! and I’ve seen Inglorious Bastards (which has English, French and German in the movie.

I’m usually discouraged after watching movies not encouraged. I prefer youtube. (Easy German, Tagesschau und Tagesthemen und Yabla)

(6) Patricia says:

I enjoy German movies although they are difficult at times to follow.
Are there any German movies with German subtitles? I’d like
to follow that way instead of hearing the English translation which
sometimes seems very different from what is being said. German
sentence structure is very different and I would find it most helpful
to hear and see the movie in German.

(7) Bernardo Martinez says:

Hey, I watched some years ago a movie in English and German.

It must be a 90s or early 2000s film.

It was a romantic one, where the principal characters were a woman and her late husband or boyfriend. I think that man, after being dead, had the chance to come back to Earth as an angel, and the revive their love.

Was the angel a mailman?

Oh, and the great song of Sarah McLachlan, “Angel”, did it all!

Does anyone know this one? Please! Ich liebe euch! :)

Clicking on “German Movies” I could see the comments. Further down under “Related Articles” below the comments, I clicked on “Movie Titles in German …”. One will see the article “Movie Titles in German / Filmtitel auf Deutsch mit (with) Quiz.” (I think the quiz was made in Germany, as there are at the quiz site some English errors.)

On the end of this article you can click as I did on “quizzes.” There are 3 quizzes, each with 12 movie titles, first column in German, second in English, that makes 36.

For me, the 3 quizzes were easy. I had mistakes, but I could juggle a few movies until I had 100 %. I had the idea, it may be interesting to know 36 movie titles in German and English (actually 72), even so I myself only knew a few older movies from the whole pack. Well, 3 more comments. (I really was astounded that the movie titles were so far apart, of the same films in German and English.)
