Entrance to Spiral Staircase: Guide Christoph Timmermann opens the Dritter Mann book to the page showing a film scene, just before we descend into the depths of the Third Man sewer. With a special key, he has opened the door of the sewer entrance disguised as a kiosk. Going down the spiral staircase inside takes you to the underground canal of the Vienna River, shown in the next photo.
