Note: The numbers shown as (DVD: 2) indicate the chapter numbers from the DVD. Not all dialogue segments are at the start of a chapter. In dialogues with a mixture of German and English, the German text is in boldface.

1 Bei Harry Lime - At Harry Lime's Apartment (DVD: 2)

Holly knocks at Harry Lime's apartment door...

Holly: Speak English?

Portier: Englisch? Uh, naja, little, little. Sie kommen um 10 Minuten zu spät... eh, ten minutes (holds up fingers) too late. Already gone.

Holly: Who?

Portier: His friends... and the.. nuh, eh, coffin. (makes box shape with hands)

Holly: Coffin?

Portier: Mr. Lime. An accident. Knocked over by a car. Here in front of the house. Have seen myself. Killed at once. Immediately. Already in hell... (points upward) or in heaven. (points down) Sorry for the gravediggers. Hard work. It is frost.

2 Am Friedhof - At the Cemetery (DVD: 3)

Holly walks toward the funeral for Harry...

Holly: (to Maj. Calloway) Can you tell me... who's the...?

Maj. Calloway: A fellow called Lime.

(to Dr. Winkel)

Amen.

People throw earth into grave. Holly does also, then walks away.

Kurtz: (to Dr. Winkel) Moment, darf ich? (takes flowers from Dr. Winkel)

3 Beim Café - At the Cafe (DVD: 5)

Holly and Kurtz meet at a sidewalk cafe. Kurtz approaches, carrying his small dog and a copy of Martins' OKLAHOMA KID...

Kurtz: (to waiter) Ober! Zwei... (to Holly) What would you like? Tea, coffee?

Holly: Coffee.

Kurtz: Zwei Schwarze.

Ober: Zwei Schwarze.

Kurtz: It's wonderful how you keep the tension...
