6 Am Fenster - At the Window - Lime's Flat (DVD: 8)
Portier: Es ist gleich da unten. Da ist es passiert. - Passiert? "Passiert" in Englisch?
Holly: What's he saying?
Anna: He says it happened right down there.
Portier: Yes, happened. It happened right down there.
Holly: You saw it?
Portier: Well, not saw. Heard. I heard the brakes...
The conversation continues in English; Anna looks around in the bedroom...
Portier: ...not with his head in the way it was.
Holly: I was told that he did not die at once.
Portier: Aber woher denn? Der war gleich tot. Da brauchen Sie keine Angst zu haben.
Holly: I mean...
Portier: (very insistent) Er war gleich tot. Gleich tot. Moment, wart a bissel, warte.
Anna: He was quite dead. [Note: Should be translated as "dead right away"]
Portier: He was quite dead.
Holly: But this sounds crazy...
Phone by bed rings...
Anna: (am Telefon) Hallo. Hallo. Wer ist da? - Hallo. Warum antworten Sie nicht? Hallo!
Anna hangs up phone.
Later: Porter gets upset with Holly, raving in German...
Holly: ...You've got to tell your story to the police.
Portier: Police? Why police? Das ist doch Blödsinn, was Sie da sagen! It's nonsense, all nonsense.
Conversation continues in English...
Holly: You only saw a dead man with three men carrying him.
Portier: Der Ami macht mi(ch) noch ganz deppert. I should have listened to my wife. She said...
Holly: Now hold on.
- I have no evidence...
Conversation continues in English...
Holly: We'll make it your business.
I have always liked you, but...
Please! Sonst vergess i mei wienerischen Charme. Please! - Und ich blöder Hirsch. Nur weil i höflich sein will, krieg i de ?? Schererei mit der Polizei.
