Thal Linak 145 is the address of the house in which Arnold Schwarzenegger was born and grew up in the small town of Thal-Linak, Austria. His family lived on the second floor of this house, which at that time was provided by the town to Arnold's policeman father. In 1947, when Arnold was born, the house had no running water, no flush toilet, no phone, and no refrigerator. He and his brother Meinhard had to fetch water each day from a nearby well for the Schwarzenegger household. The house was recently repainted and renovated by the town after Schwarzenegger was elected as the governor of California in October 2003.
