Marktgemeinde Thal: The town fathers of the "Market Town Thal" had this new sign erected following the election of the town's most famous son to the office of California governor. In addition to a biographical overview (on right), Arnold's head (left) contains a map of the local walking path and trails, indicating Arnold attractions (house, school he attended, etc.). (See close-up view.) In the background you can see part of the modern green copper-clad Catholic church in Thal.
