SONG BACKGROUND
This Falco song is not to be confused with Peter Cornelius' “Ganz Wien hat den Blues” (all of Vienna has the blues). In Falco's darker song with a similar title, he sings about a Vienna on cocaine, heroin and Mozambin (Quaalude/methaqualone). Because of the line “all of Vienna is on heroin today,” the song was banned from radio play in Austria.

*** "das U4" is the name of a popular 1980s "New Wave" Vienna nightclub; geigen, to play the violin, has a double meaning in German (to have sex).
# "Bruno" = Bruno Kreisky, former Austrian chancellor; "Hannes" = Hannes Androsch, former Austrian vice-chancellor.
