SONG BACKGROUND
This German rap song by Die Fantastischen Vier is based on a play on words. The German word treu (loyal, faithful) is pronounced like the English word "Troy." The song also mixes English words and phrases into the German text ("i'm sorry i don't understand"). The general theme of this song revolves around the fact that Fanta4 had virtually disappeared from the German music scene for almost five years until they released the VIEL album in 2004 and went on tour in Germany.

The lost city of Troy (Troja in German) was discovered by the German amateur archaelogist Heinrich Schliemann in 1871, although that probably has little to do with this song, other than the title word. The text for these lyrics largely ignores the German rules for capitalization and punctuation.
