There is no one official calendar of name days. Such calendars vary not only from country to country, but also within countries, regions and and churches. Name calendars are influenced by language, culture, name popularity and many other factors, including the most obvious one: religion. The dates upon which even a particular name is celebrated are not always the same from calendar to calendar.
Our Namenstag-Kalender is drawn from a variety of sources. The first is a name calendar that was disributed by the Austrian postal service at the end of 2000. In addition, we have selected from among several online name calendars. (See the "Related Links" below for those and others.)
