AATG - Summer Seminars for Teachers
The American Association of Teachers of German (AATG) offers professional development programs and summer seminars in the USA, Austria, and Germany. In some cases application must be made directly to the seminar, and not via AATG. Some of the links below/above include AATG courses (e.g., Goethe Institute, Taos, Concordia, Leipzig, etc.). Applicants interested in possible grants or stipends must apply early!
Canadian Summer School in Germany
This German summer program in Kassel, Germany is sponsored by the Canadian Association of University Teachers of German. Includes an online registration form.
Concordia Language Villages - German

German Summer School of New Mexico
Founded in 1975, UNM's annual summer school is held in June/July in Taos Ski Valley, NM. Program includes academic lectures, workshops, films, and recreational activities conducted in German only. Graduate or undergrad credit.
Kinder lernen Deutsch - West Coast Seminar
Held in the second week of August in Seattle, this Univ. of Washington seminar is designed for teachers who will be teaching German to younger children. A summer camp for children is planned to accompany the program. (Also see AATG - Kinder lernen Deutsch.)
