Uhland-Gedichte

German Verse by Ludwig Uhland

Introduction

You are here:
Bilingual Poetry > Ludwig Uhland > Uhland Poetry

This is a small selection of Uhland's verse. Except for "Ich hatt' einen Kameraden," which has a poetic translation, the Übersetzungen from German into English are line-by-line prose translations that convey the essential meaning of Uhland's words, without attempting to duplicate the poetry of the original works.

Anyone who wants to read even more of Uhland's verse should look at our links to the poet on our main Uhland page.

Contents - Inhalt
