Ich lebte von 1818 bis 1883. Ich bin am 5. Mai 1818 in Trier (in Deutschland) geboren. Mein Vater war Rechtsanwalt und ich studierte auch Jura in Bonn und Berlin. Aber ich verbrachte den größten Teil meines Lebens in London.
Zweimal war ich Redakteur bei der Rheinischen Zeitung. Im Jahre 1843 heiratete ich Jenny von Westphalen. Nach der Revolution von 1848 in Deutschland musste ich als "staatlose Person" Deutschland verlassen. 1849 zog ich nach London um, wo ich Bücher und Artikel schrieb. Die großen deutschen Philosophen Hegel und Kant haben mich beeinflusst.
Ich war immer sehr arm und drei von meinen Kindern starben, weil wir kein Geld für Medizin hatten. Ich starb mit 65 Jahren an meinem Schreibtisch in London. Aber heute noch leben Völker unter dem politischen System, das aus meinen philosophischen Ideen herkam. - Wer bin ich?
