die MESZ (Mitteleuropäische Sommerzeit)  Central European Summer Time (CEST, daylight saving time)

Die MEZ entspricht der mittleren Sonnenzeit des 15. Längengrads östlich von Greenwich.
CET corresponds to the mean solar time at the 15th degree of longitude east of Greenwich.

(Note: Most of western Europe, including Austria, Germany, and Switzerland, lies in the CET zone, which is one hour ahead of Greenwich Mean Time [GMT], also known as Coordinated Universal Time [UTC], except when Sommerzeit is in effect, when it is two hours ahead of GMT. WEB > Greenwich Mean Time)
