Note: The verb "lieben" ("only an i away from 'Leben'") took third place in a German contest for the most beautiful German word. (The noun "die Liebe" was the top word submitted by entrants.) This week we present the top five winners, with the number-one word on Friday. Over 22,000 entries were received from 111 countries, including the U.S., for the schönstes deutsches Wort contest.
