Parts of the Body: The German vocabulary for parts of the body contains many cognates (Arm, Finger, Hand, Haar, Knie, Lippen, usw.), but do you know the gender of these words? German also uses a different way of talking about the possessive for these words: "Er hat sich das Bein gebrochen." uses the dative reflexive "sich" instead of the possessive "sein" to say "He broke his leg."
