Personal Pronouns: Learn your German personal pronouns well! They are essential vocabulary and very important for learning how to conjugate the verbs that go with them. Watch out for the confusion caused by Sie (you) and sie (she, they). Often the only way to tell which is which is by the verb ending or the context.
