Wer bin ich?
A biographical guessing game in German

Eine biografische Ratespiel-Serie auf Deutsch

Also see: Arnold Schwarzenegger

Welcome to our biografisches Ratespiel! This is an English introduction to our game series in German aimed at intermediate to advanced German-learners. (For the German version of this page, click here.) But beginners willing to exert a little effort are also welcome! Based on a short first-person biography of a famous—or not-so-famous—personality ("Ich bin am 25. April 1916 in Berlin geboren...") you have to guess who the person is.

For previous games, you can find the answer after you've made your guess. For new contests, you'll find the answer the following week. But first you should send us your answer via email—before the deadline!—and participate in our prize drawing. For each contest one person will win a prize in a drawing from all the correct entries sent in by the deadline. (All prize awards are final. Offer void where prohibited by law.)

Beginners can also profit from our game. Along with each week's answer, we include an English version of the biographical clue.

Wer hat schon gewonnen?

Who was the winner of previous contest drawings? (Wer hat schon bei den früheren Ratespielen gewonnen?) You'd already know that if you were a subscriber to our free newsletter!

Previous prize winners include: Anthony W. of High Point, North Carolina and Francesca B. of Toronto, Canada, plus others. They were each one of over 100 entrants from all over the world who sent in the correct answer to our Ratespiel contest. You could be next!

Below you'll find links to our biografische Ratespiele. Viel Glück! - Good luck!
