Christmas Lights in Germany: Weihnachtshäuser

Tree lightsIt's common to see colorful Christmas lights and decorations on downtown city streets and in Christmas markets in German Europe. However, the North American custom of decorating one's own house with Christmas lights and glittering decorations is still rare. But a few Germans and Austrians are trying to change that by introducing American-style Lichterketten and Außenbeleuchtung for private homes—in neighborhoods from Hamburg to Vienna.
