Sentence Structure

One of the concepts that students learn about the German language in the first few months is that the German past participle belongs at the end of the sentence. (Ich habe zu viel gegessen.) It takes a bit of  getting used to. Along the way students also need to be aware of the following grammar concepts that influence  word order greatly as well.

Adverbs as Conjunctions
When Using The Dative And Accusative
The Position Of Nicht
Dative Prepositions

Der Satz da “Sentence Structure” soll wohl Grammatik heißen, und da seh ick och noch, “ich habe zu viel gegessen.”
Nun, wenn ick mir mal zu viel in den Rachen hineinstopfe, so sage ich dann nur schlicht: “Ick habe mir den Bauch vollgefressen. Schönen Gruß aus Berlin.
