Das E-Mail? Some Germans may tell you that e-mail in German is das rather than die. But since the English word stands for die E-Post or die E-Post-Nachricht, it's difficult to justify das. German dictionaries say it's die (feminine) for e-mail, but it's das Email (eh-myle) for "enamel." Maybe that's where the confusion started? Note: das E-Mail is commonly used in Austria, Bavaria and Switzerland.
