English-German Harry Potter Glossary:
Introduction (Teil 1)
The following annotated glossary lists vocabularywords, phrases and expressionsfrom the Harry Potter books by Joanne K. Rowling. Each entry compares actual lines from the English and German versions and lists the volume/page number (Band/Seite) from the hardcover versions of the American and German editions, when that is known. Unlike most other Harry Potter vocabulary pages, ours is not concerned exclusively with wizardry and terms specific to the Potter books. The sample sentences illustrate everyday vocabulary, as well as terms related to the books. See the KEY for details.
Also see the Harry Potter Chapter-Specific Glossaries.
This glossary/lexicon is intended only as an aid for German-learners. It has no connection with any of the Harry Potter publishers, author J.K. Rowling or the translators. No infringement of the rights of any of the copyright holders is implied or intended.
