Lola Tour: Berlin Location 1
Berlin. Frühling, irgendwann. Wir fliegen schnell an die Stadt heran, immer näher an ein Haus, durch das Fenster hindurch in eine Wohnung...
Lolas Wohnung (Lola's Apartment)
The opening scene in LOLA RENNT that zooms in on Lola's apartment house was shot at an existing apartment house (photo below) on Albrechtstraße, a short three-block street that runs north from a street called Schiffbauerdamm. (The Schiffbauerdamm is on the banks of the Spree just across the river from the well-known Friedrichstraße S-Bahn train station, which can also be seen in the opening aerial zoom shot. See online map.) The location is right in the middle of Berlin in the district called, logically, Mitte. But the scenes of Lola running down the street, after she goes through the gate, were actually shot elsewhere.
