Das Bauhaus

The Bauhaus school of architecture and industrial design was founded in Germany in 1919, but its influence soon spread around the globe. The original building seen here in Dessau was badly damaged after World War II and suffered from neglect under the East German regime. The school has been restored and revitalized since German reunification in 1990.
