MP3 Audio File - Introduction and Study Guide
LISTENING PRACTICE for Intermediate to Advanced Learners of German
AFN is legendary in post-war German history. The American military in Germany set up a radio network for the occupying forces, but U.S. soldiers weren't the only ones listening to AFN. The radio network's broadcasts of American pop music from Berlin, Frankfurt, Munich, and other German cities where GI's were stationed also became very popular with the Germans. Learn more about the interesting story of AFN in Germany in this audio selection from the German audiomagazine Schau ins Land.
