German Tutor Directory

The Web offers a lot of help for language learners—as we pointed out in a previous feature. But even the most dedicated independent learner of German can use some "live" instruction from time to time. The Web can do a lot, but there's still no substitute for personal, face-to-face interaction. After all, what's a language for?

We offer a directory of tutors for German that can help link individuals for person-to-person instruction. This ever-expanding resource is offered as a helpful service to the many people relying on self-instruction, who visit the German Language site every day. The directory currently offers tutor listings for many parts of the world. You'll find tutors listed in Australia, Asia, Europe/Germany, the US, and the UK. We continue to add new tutors to the directory on a regular basis. If you need some help with your study of the German language, all you have to do is look in the directory.

Many of the tutors listed also offer email or online tutoring, so even if you can't find someone tutoring in your area, it is possible to get the next best thing to actual face-to-face tutoring: a "live" email tutor. There are other modes of tutoring as well. For more about the Directory, see the links below.
